Löysin taannoin kirjakaupan alennuslaarista pienen vitriinikehyksen ja sain idean kokeilla jotain uutta omassa taiteessani: kuvanveistoa. Minulta meni kuitenkin hetken aikaa ennen kuin keksin tarpeeksi yksinkertaisen aiheen taululle, onhan tämä taiteenmuoto minulle aika tuntematon enkä halunnut hukata innostusta liian monimutkaiseen työhön. Vihdoin sain idean Ajatusten Vankilaan. Se koostuisi vain muutamasta osasta, joista vain yksi olisi muovailtu.
Not long
ago I found a small vitrine frame from bookstore’s sale pile and I decided to
try something new in my art: sculpturing. Still it did take a while before I
came up with simple enough motive for the picture, after all this form of art
is quite unknown to me and I didn’t want to lose the enthusiasm in piece that
would be too complicated for me. Finally I came up with Ajatusten Vankila (Prison of Thoughts). It would consist of only few
parts from witch only one would be sculpted.
